Thankful

The past few days I have tried to keep myself extremely busy to keep my mind off the thing that I don't have. I have been wanting it for such a long time. It is easy to get lost in that.
Slowly God has showed me that it's not what I don't have, but instead what I have been gaining.
I am completely awed and brought to tears by the generosity that so many people have shown to us. There are so many showing support and getting involved from buying a shirt to all the prayers to sending a check out of the blue. My heart is touched I cannot say thank you enough. Thank you for the prayers. Thank you for donations. I have gained so much love and support during this adventure. Thank you!

Adoption Update: Well there really isn't much to tell. We are still in waiting and haven't heard anything yet. There is no guarantee or time period given for "waiting".
The most important thing we can all do at this time is pray. Also we will continue to raise money.

Happy Mother's Day

I've been working on this one for a while.  I'm not the best writer, so I sometimes worry that what I really have on my heart isn't expressed quite in the way that I would like.  I almost didn't post this because of that reason, but there are many ladies feeling their heart break and the tears in their eyes as those "Happy Mother's Day" songs and ads cross their path. Those ladies need to know their worth as a mother.

Happy Mothers Day to the mothers that...
are pregnant with their first
have a bright eyed child wrapped in their arms
are experiencing that empty nest
are suffering the pain of a miscarriage
lost their baby all too soon
face the "not pregnant" month after month
endure the fertility drugs, shots, and treatments
unselfishly gave your child up for adoption
adopted the orphan

There are so many different paths to motherhood.  None of them are greater than the other. Your love, sacrifice, and dedication should be celebrated. You all are mothers.
Happy Mother's Day!

Baby Bottle Bonanza

Check your pockets, under the couch cushions, and the car cup holder... We have officially started our Baby Bottle Bonanza!!

We will be handing out baby bottles to everyone that will accept them. We ask you to take the bottles home, fill them with coins, cash, or a checkYou will have a month to fill it up and then we will pick the bottles back up! Now you have an official place for all your change!

Put the bottle in a popular place in your home or place of work (if allowed) as a reminder to pray for our future child, his or her birth family, and Okey & I.  We are also encouraging others to take more than one so they can hand it out to someone they know.  Money collected through this fundraiser will go directly into our adoption fund!

If you would like to join the change drive, you can send us an email at wilsonadoption@gmail.com or comment on this post.  Just contact us when you have filled the bottle and we will come by to pick it back up.

If you do not live nearby, I would be happy to mail you a bottle.  If you have a small group or team that would like to participate, let me know.  Every little bit helps!
