Ice, Ice Baby

We were hoping for snow, but instead were hit with ice.
The mixture of sleet and freezing rain came down all day Friday. What a beautiful mess it created.
Everything had a beautiful silvery glaze. Tree limbs were sagging and bent from the weight of the ice. It didn't take long for people in the area to start losing power. We lost electricity Friday evening until Sunday afternoon. Thankfully we have gas logs and a gas stove. Dazie was our "light keeper" and enjoyed carrying the lantern around. She also had a good time walking with me outside looking at the changed landscape. Okey and I certainly didn't mind the long weekend with Dazie.

Cheesy

This was our fun the other day. Lately Dazie likes to point out noses. I love how she says "nose" and points to mine then hers. She thought balancing Cheez-its on her nose was the best.

Baby Doll

Dazie received a baby doll for Christmas that she absolutely adores.

She loves to carry her around, feed her, and put her to bed.

I even caught her reading to her.

Uncle Matthew

Dazie was so excited to see her Uncle Matthew for her final Christmas celebration.

The books he brought were a big hit.

I think Charlie was happy to have him there too. And as you can see in the second picture, Belle wasn't impressed.

Christmas

This was such a fun Christmas!

We had about 6 Christmas celebrations and Dazie really enjoyed it all!
We celebrated Christmas the weekend before with my family...
At first she thought her gift was for sitting, but she soon got the hang of it.

Then we were on our way to West Virginia...
We tried seeing Santa, but there were plenty of tears.
Dazie preferred spending time with the family.

Christmas Eve

Morning PJs
On our way to Aunt Pam and Uncle Nick's!

MerryChristmas!

We are so blessed to have so much wonderful family!

All that fun made this little one sleepy!
Not too sleepy for a smile!

Back up for some more fun!
